London,10 October 2017: Ahead of its highly anticipated launch on 3 January 2018, Royal Hideaway Corales Resort, was last night named ‘The Best Future Hospitality Building 2018’ at theEuropean Hospitality Awards.

Built by Spanish architect Leonardo Omar and designed by the renowned MKV Design (London), together they have created an innovative modern resort with cutting-edge design. Drawing on the local surroundings and underwater sea life, the communal areas are inspired by the intricate formation of coral. Using fractural geometry design in the communal areas, which mirror the shape of the coral, the hotel seeks to raise awareness about the delicate natural beauty of the marine world.
The awards ceremony, heldat The Tower Hotel, London, was a grand celebration of over 100 leading industry figures from the most luxurious and extraordinary hotels across Europe.
Collecting the award last night was General Manager Fernando Turnes and Deputy Marketing Director Antonio Bauzá of the Barceló Hotel Group. Antonio commented: “We are extremely proud to have won this prestigious award. It is a great accolade for hotel but also for the Barceló Hotel Group and we are thrilled to add this brand new innovative 5* resort to our Royal Hideaway portfolio.”

Royal Hideaway Corales Resort, is the hotel groups first Royal Hideaway Hotel in Tenerife. Located on The Costa Adeje in South West Tenerife this 5* resort is surrounded by an oasis of nature reserves. It is split into two hotels – the adult specific ‘Corales Beach’ which is created exclusively of Junior Suites, complete with ocean view terraces, and the family-friendly ‘Corales Suites’ which have 114 deluxe ocean-view suites with private terraces. The hotel has also announced the appointment of the Padrón Brothers, who are the only Chefs to specialise in Canarian cuisine with a Michelin star, seeking to put the hotel and Tenerife on the foodie map. The dynamic duo will be head up Maresía – the resort’s rooftop cocktail bar, restaurant and pool bar. There are nine restaurant and bars in total, with four exclusively for guests staying at the adults-only Corales Beach. The resort also offers a bespoke collection of local experiences to guests including paragliding through Teide National Park; deep see fishing and visiting the Cueva del Viento to mention a few.
